Gavin Morris

Gavin graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 1991 and spent the following 10 years thoroughly enjoying practice, specialising in Large Animals in North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire.
Some lively years (!) as an OVS followed in a wide range of premises which then lead to a Regional Veterinary Advisor role in the South & West. During this time the FSA created a new position of Veterinary Manager in York of which he became the first.
In 2008 Gavin was invited for a ‘cup of tea / Guinness and a chat’ over in Northern Ireland and has been Group Technical, Animal Welfare and Veterinary Manager for Dunbia since then!
A Council Member for a number of years holding posts as the Industry Liaison Officer and later the Animal Welfare Representative. Gavin is also Chair of the British Meat Processors Association’s (BMPA) Animal Welfare Committee and sits on the AHDB Medicine Hub Governance & Ops Group and also the steering committee of the Food Industry Initiative on Antimicrobials (FIIA).
